How much does Christmas light installation cost in Ankeny?
Most Ankeny homes land between $800 and $2,000 for a first season. Pricing depends on roofline length, story height, roof pitch, and whether you add trees, wreaths or entryway accents. Your quote is a flat all-in price that covers design, commercial-grade product, installation, season-long service, removal and storage.
How much does Christmas light installation cost?
Across our Central Iowa service area, smaller single-story rooflines typically start near $800, mid-size two-story homes commonly fall between $1,200 and $2,000, and larger properties or commercial buildings are quoted individually. There are no hidden add-ons after the quote.
Do you provide the Christmas lights?
Yes. We provide commercial-grade LED product that is custom cut for your roofline, so every strand fits without gaps or overhang. The lights stay part of your program, and we maintain and store them between seasons.
Do I need to buy my own lights?
No. You never buy, measure, untangle or replace anything. Everything you need is included in your quoted price.
How early should I book?
Late summer through early October is ideal. Installation schedules in Ankeny and Ames fill quickly, and booking early gets you a preferred install window before the first cold snap.
Do you install Christmas lights on roofs?
Yes. Roofline installation is our most requested service. Our insured crews use roof-safe clips with no staples, nails or adhesive, and we handle all ladder and height work so you never have to.
Do you install lights on trees?
Yes. We wrap trunks and branches, light shrubs and landscape beds, and can add mini-light canopies for larger yard trees.
Do you remove Christmas lights after Christmas?
Yes. Removal is included. We take everything down in January on a scheduled route, weather permitting, and leave the property exactly as we found it.
Do you store the lights?
Yes. Your display is labeled by section and stored in our facility, which means no bins in your garage and a faster install the following season.
What happens if a light goes out?
Call or text us and we come back out at no charge. Season-long maintenance is part of every installation.
Do you install commercial Christmas lights?
Yes. We light storefronts, offices, apartment and senior communities, and business parks, and we schedule installs around your operating hours.
What areas do you serve?
Ankeny is our primary service area and Ames is our second. We also serve Des Moines, West Des Moines, Waukee, Johnston, Urbandale, Altoona, Bondurant, Polk City, Huxley, Slater, Nevada, Gilbert and Boone.

Yes. Golden Ridge Lighting is fully insured, and every crew member is trained on ladder and roof safety before working on a property.
